The Besiktas Sqaure is a cosmopolitan and lively square, a transportation hub and also a great place for day out activities such as relaxing at the wide range of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants by the seaside.
Located by the Bosphorus in the Besiktas district, the square and the environment is also a popular meeting point. The Bosphorus ferries, Taksim buses and many more are all depart from the area.

Historic Besiktas Pier
The historic Besiktas Ferry Pier is worth seeing with its architectural structure. The tiles made by the architect Ali Talat Bey (1869-1922) on the front facade of the pier are attractive and very impressive. The pier serves for Uskudar and Kadikoy public ferries.
Naval Museum
Naval Museum is a fantastic museum located in Besiktas and houses a collection of more than 20,000 pieces related with the Turkish Maritime history. The ornamented Ottoman Sultans’ boats take the most interest. The museum is on the route of Big Bus Istanbul. After visiting the museum, you may spend a great day out in Besiktas, stoll around and rest at the various outdoor cafes by the Bosphorus.

Transportation
The most practical way to get to Besiktas Square is via Bagcilar-Kabatas tram (T1 line), and than walking or taking public bus to Besiktas.
- From Sultanahmet, Eminonu, Galata or Karakoy, take the tram. The closest tram stop is Kabatas.
- From Taksim, take Yellow Share Taxis directly to Besiktas, or the funicular to Kabatas (from taksim Square).
- Public Bus Line 22, 22RE and 25E from Kabatas
- Ferries.
