Like in the facelift surgery, the incision is started from the front of the ear and extended to the scalp behind the ear, and the neck skin is lifted up to the part under the chin. The removed skin is stretched towards the edge of the ear.
The necklift surgery mostly takes about 1 hour. It can be done with both general or local anesthesia.
Recovery Period
You can leave the hospital on the same day or stay in the hospital for 1 night. It depends on your skin reaction. After surgery you’ll have a special bandage applied under your chin.
You can return to normal life within 2 to 8 days, depending on the performance of the surgeon.
