Hermest Hair Clinic Review: Our 2026 Assessment

Medically reviewed by Dr. Mehmet Erdoğan, Written by Ali Çağlayan

For this Hermest Hair Clinic review, Istanbeautiful went beyond website claims and online ratings. Our team visited Hermest in Istanbul, examined the clinic environment and international-patient setup, and submitted a detailed questionnaire covering physician involvement, daily procedure volume, donor management, UNIQUE FUE®, the ALL-IN SAFETY PROTOCOL™, graft-retention claims, aftercare, authorization, pricing, and patient safety.

Hermest provided detailed written responses to our questions.

How We Reviewed Hermest Hair Clinic

This review combines first-hand observations from our clinic visit, detailed written responses supplied by Hermest, independent checks, public information, and patient-review research.

Following our visit on August 25, 2026, we asked Hermest who performs each stage of a hair transplant, how many patients and teams operate daily, how donor capacity is measured, how future hair loss affects planning, what differentiates UNIQUE FUE®, how its reported graft-retention figures are calculated, what its ALL-IN SAFETY PROTOCOL™ involves, and how international patients are followed after returning home.

We also investigated the clinic’s legal authorization and independent reputation.

Hermest’s health-tourism authorization was cross-checked by Istanbeautiful. International Hermest Group Turizm Seyahat Acentası (Hermest Sağlık Danışmanlığı A.Ş.) is listed with Health Tourism Authorization Certificate AK-0209, while the treatment facility Özel Opal Klinik (Hermest’s own private clinic) appears on the Turkish Ministry of Health’s authorized healthcare-provider list.

At the time of our August 2026 assessment, Hermest had a 4.9/5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from more than 1,200 reviews. Recent reviews frequently mention organization, translators, transfers, staff support, and postoperative communication. See all reviews from here.

We don’t treat review-platform ratings as proof of clinical outcomes. They are more useful for identifying recurring patient-experience patterns.

Our 95/100 rating is an independent Istanbeautiful editorial assessment. Hermest did not control our score or verdict.

Our Visit to Hermest Hair Clinic in Istanbul

Our on-site assessment focused on factors that matter to an international hair-transplant patient rather than the appearance of the reception area alone.

Istanbeautiful visit to Hermest Hair Clinic

We looked at the patient pathway, medical structure, consultation process, treatment environment, international-patient organization, physician involvement, and aftercare arrangements.

Hermest operates through a multi-professional structure rather than a one-surgeon-per-patient model.

The clinic identifies Dr. Ahmet Murat as having overall responsibility for its operation processes. Hermest told us that his direct role covers consultation, supervision, and postoperative control.

Dr. Nesim Tüğen has a substantially more hands-on procedural role. Hermest describes his involvement as extending to hairline design, graft planning, extraction, channel opening, and transplantation.

We wouldn’t describe a typical Hermest procedure as being personally performed from beginning to end by Dr. Ahmet Murat. Nor would we characterize it as a technician-only operation.

A more accurate description is a doctor-led, team-supported treatment model, with the degree of hands-on physician participation varying according to the stage of the procedure.

Hermest reports an average of five hair-transplant patients per day, with procedures handled through two specialized teams operating simultaneously.

Who Are the Doctors Behind Hermest?

Dr. Ahmet Murat

Dr. Ahmet Murat serves as Hermest’s Chief Medical Officer and holds overall responsibility for the clinic’s hair-transplant operation processes.

According to Hermest’s written response to Istanbeautiful, his typical role includes consultation, medical supervision, and postoperative control.

His medical background is particularly relevant to the clinic’s emphasis on patient safety. Dr. Murat has a background in cardiology, which Hermest incorporates into its approach to medical assessment and emergency preparedness.

That does not mean cardiovascular expertise eliminates the medical risks associated with hair transplantation. It does give the clinic access to a physician with relevant experience should cardiovascular concerns arise during assessment or treatment.

Dr. Nesim Tüğen

Dr. Nesim Tüğen serves as Hermest’s Medical Director and has a more direct role in the procedural stages of hair transplantation.

Hermest told Istanbeautiful that he participates in hairline design, graft planning, extraction, channel opening, and transplantation.

Hermest’s current medical-team information describes Dr. Tüğen as having more than 15 years of medical experience, with a professional background that includes emergency medicine and hair restoration.

For prospective patients, the distinction between the two doctors is useful:

Dr. Ahmet Murat: overall responsibility, consultation, supervision, postoperative control.

Dr. Nesim Tüğen: active procedural involvement, including planning and surgical stages.

Who Actually Performs a Hair Transplant at Hermest?

This was one of the main questions we wanted Hermest to answer clearly.

The clinic describes responsibilities as follows.

Consultation and examination

Face-to-face consultation and detailed preoperative examinations are performed directly by Hermest’s doctors.

Hairline design

Hairline design is performed jointly by the doctor and patient, taking the patient’s expectations and natural facial structure into account. Hermest says this process is standard across its packages rather than restricted to premium patients.

Extraction

For Sapphire FUE, DHI, and UNIQUE FUE®, follicular extraction is performed by Hermest’s expert medical team under doctor supervision.

Recipient-site creation

Hermest says recipient channels or incisions are created by its doctors together with the medical team under physician supervision.

Implantation

Graft implantation, where required, can be performed by both Hermest’s doctors and its medical team.

This means Hermest shouldn’t be marketed as a clinic where one named physician personally performs every graft extraction and implantation.

At the same time, the answers show direct physician participation beyond consultation alone, particularly through Dr. Nesim Tüğen’s stated hands-on role.

For us, this part is one of the clinic’s stronger features.

Hermest’s Daily Patient Volume and Team Structure

Hermest reports treating approximately five hair-transplant patients on an average day, with two specialized teams operating simultaneously.

This places Hermest in a multi-team category rather than among Istanbul clinics built around a single surgeon treating one patient at a time.

We don’t consider daily volume alone a measure of clinical quality.

The more useful questions are how many teams operate, whether patients receive physician assessment, who performs the technically important stages, and how supervision is organized.

Hermest says every patient, without exception, receives a doctor’s examination and evaluation.

The clinic’s disclosure of both daily volume and team numbers helped our assessment.

Patients who specifically prefer a one-surgeon/one-patient operating model may want to compare Hermest with lower-volume alternatives. Those comfortable with a structured doctor-and-team approach may find its operating model appropriate.

Donor Assessment and Long-Term Planning

Donor management is one of the areas where Hermest scored strongly in our assessment.

The clinic uses GraftMap to obtain information about hair density and quality. The final treatment method is then selected following face-to-face medical consultation.

We asked how Hermest approaches patients with larger areas of hair loss and whether it preserves donor capacity for possible future procedures.

The clinic says it avoids extraction strategies that place excessive strain on the donor area. When extensive coverage is required, Hermest may divide treatment into two sessions rather than attempting maximum coverage in a single procedure.

We view that principle positively.

The number of grafts that can safely be extracted differs between patients, and long-term planning becomes particularly relevant for younger men or anyone likely to experience progressive androgenetic hair loss.

Hermest also told us that medical conditions can lead to a patient being declined. Examples provided include diabetes, hypertension, regular medication use, and other general-health conditions that may present an obstacle to treatment.

Those conditions aren’t necessarily universal contraindications to transplantation; the important point is that Hermest says they trigger medical consideration rather than automatic acceptance.

UNIQUE FUE®: What Actually Makes It Different?

UNIQUE FUE® is Hermest’s proprietary approach to follicular unit extraction and one of the clinic’s most heavily promoted features.

Hermest describes the technique as an advanced version of conventional FUE using specialized micro-instruments and precise extraction and implantation methods, with the aim of reducing tissue trauma, minimizing visible scarring, shortening recovery, and improving graft retention.

The clinic says the system was developed with input from microsurgeons, aesthetic specialists, and German engineers.

From an editorial perspective, we separate two questions.

The first is whether Hermest uses a defined proprietary protocol. Its responses describe specific procedural principles and instrumentation associated with UNIQUE FUE®.

The second is whether UNIQUE FUE® has been independently proven to outperform conventional FUE or DHI.

The material supplied to Istanbeautiful does not provide independent comparative clinical trials demonstrating that superiority.

For that reason, we don’t award additional points merely for the proprietary name.

We see UNIQUE FUE® as Hermest’s own standardized FUE methodology, with potentially useful procedural features, rather than treating its marketing claims as independent proof that it is clinically superior to every other FUE approach.

What About Hermest’s 98–99% Graft-Retention Claim?

Hermest promotes graft or hair-retention rates reaching approximately 98–99%, so we asked how the figure is calculated.

The clinic says the percentage is derived from follow-up information collected from more than 20,000 international patients across different postoperative periods.

Patients receive close follow-up during the first year, with longer-term contact used to assess hair structure, quality, and how results are holding up. Hermest says its published retention percentages are derived from those internal reports.

So, we would describe 98–99% as a Hermest-reported retention rate based on the clinic’s internal patient follow-up data.

What Is the ALL-IN SAFETY PROTOCOL™?

Hermest uses the term ALL-IN SAFETY PROTOCOL™, sometimes referred to as AIS/AISP, for the framework surrounding its hair-transplant process.

We asked what this actually means in practice.

Hermest describes it as a protocol spanning the period before, during, and after treatment. Its stated elements include doctor-supervised pre- and postoperative processes, individualized hairline and technique selection, donor-protection measures during extraction, and comprehensive one-year support in the patient’s own language.

We see value in having a standardized internal protocol, particularly when a clinic operates multiple treatment teams.

However, we wouldn’t interpret the ALL-IN SAFETY PROTOCOL™ as an external medical accreditation.

It is Hermest’s internal treatment and safety framework.

The part is important: its value depends on how consistently the stated procedures are implemented rather than the trademark itself.

Medical Safety and Emergency Preparedness

Medical screening and emergency preparedness are among the stronger aspects of Hermest’s treatment model.

Before a hair transplant, patients undergo a structured preoperative medical assessment designed to identify health conditions, medication-related risks, and other factors that could affect treatment safety. Hermest’s medical structure involves two physicians, with Dr. Ahmet Murat holding overall responsibility for operation processes and Dr. Nesim Tüğen contributing additional hands-on medical and emergency-care experience.

The clinic says every patient is evaluated by a doctor before treatment and remains under continuous medical supervision throughout the procedure.

Hermest’s screening process considers chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, regularly used medications, general health status, and other medical factors that may increase procedural risk or make hair transplantation unsuitable. Patients may be postponed or declined when the medical team considers treatment unsafe.

This medical oversight continues during the operation. Hermest states that emergency precautions are available within its own clinic, with physicians positioned to respond if a complication occurs. Dr. Ahmet Murat has a background in cardiology, while Dr. Nesim Tüğen has experience in emergency intervention and acute care.

For international patients, we consider this combination of preoperative screening, direct physician assessment, continuous supervision, and emergency preparedness an important strength.

No screening process can eliminate every medical risk, but Hermest’s approach indicates that patient eligibility is assessed as a medical decision rather than simply an administrative step before surgery.

European Awards in Medicine 2025

Hermest received external recognition in 2025 through the European Awards in Medicine.

The organizer’s official 2025 winners list names Hermest Hair Transplant Clinic as the winner in the Hair Surgery category.

This is independently checkable recognition rather than an award claim appearing solely on the clinic’s own website.

We consider that useful supporting evidence of industry recognition.

However, an award isn’t proof of an individual patient’s likely clinical result, and it doesn’t replace evaluation of physician involvement, donor management, safety procedures, patient selection, or long-term outcomes.

For our rating, the award contributes to Hermest’s professional reputation rather than functioning as a substitute for clinical evidence.

Hermest Hair Transplant Prices in 2026

One of Hermest’s stronger transparency points is its publicly available package pricing.

At the time of our August 2026 review, six hair transplant packages were published. See all pricing from here.

PackagePublished Price
Sapphire FUE€2,890 / $3,390
Premium Sapphire FUE€4,100 / $4,800
DHI€3,490 / $4,090
Premium DHI€4,700 / $5,500
UNIQUE FUE®€4,250 / $4,980
Premium UNIQUE FUE®€5,450 / $6,380

This gives Hermest an overall published range of approximately €2,890–€5,450 or $3,390–$6,380, depending primarily on technique and package level.

Hermest uses flat-rate pricing based on technique rather than a standard per-graft fee, with the published packages covering up to approximately 4,000 grafts.

If more than 4,000 grafts are needed, the clinic says an additional charge may apply, primarily because larger cases can be divided across two days.

This is an important qualification to the term “fixed price”.

For cases within the package parameters, pricing is fixed.

For larger cases beyond approximately 4,000 grafts, patients should obtain the additional fee in writing before booking.

We would recommend that patients still request a personalized written quotation showing every included item, possible extra nights, deposits, cancellation conditions, graft estimate, selected technique, physician role, and any circumstances that could create an additional charge.

Our Standardized Norwood 4 Price Comparison

For our clinic reviews, we’re using the same hypothetical patient whenever possible so that pricing is more comparable.

Our sample patient is:

38 years old, male, Norwood 4 hair loss, healthy donor area, no previous transplant, and no major medical conditions.

Hermest estimated approximately 2,800–3,500 grafts for this profile.

The exact recommendation would be confirmed after assessment of donor density, hair calibre, scalp characteristics, and the planned restoration area.

Hermest said Sapphire FUE or DHI could both be suitable, with the final choice depending on donor characteristics and hairline requirements.

Based on the clinic’s current published package table, this means the sample patient could fall into:

  • Sapphire FUE: €2,890 / $3,390
  • Premium Sapphire FUE: €4,100 / $4,800
  • DHI: €3,490 / $4,090
  • Premium DHI: €4,700 / $5,500

The specific package would depend on the technique and premium extras selected.

This standardized-case approach is more useful to us than comparing only each clinic’s cheapest advertised price.

Hermest Aftercare

Postoperative support is particularly relevant for international patients, who may leave Türkiye only a few days after their procedure.

Hermest says every international patient enters a 12-month follow-up program after returning home. Its medical tracking team contacts patients at regular intervals throughout that period.

The clinic’s standardized package response likewise describes periodic follow-up covering hair growth and quality, with support provided in the patient’s own language.

This scored strongly in our assessment.

Independent patient feedback shows a similar recurring pattern. At the time of our review, Hermest held a 4.9/5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from more than 1,200 reviews, with 93% of reviews carrying five stars.

Recent reviewers repeatedly mention postoperative WhatsApp communication, coordinators, translators, transfer arrangements, and ongoing follow-up.

We still separate service satisfaction from medical outcomes.

A responsive coordinator can make recovery easier, but a positive service review doesn’t independently establish graft survival or long-term density.

What Do Hermest Patient Reviews Say?

Hermest has a substantial independent review footprint.

At the time of our August 2026 check, Trustpilot showed approximately 1,243 reviews and a 4.9/5 TrustScore, with 93% five-star ratings and 1% one-star ratings. See all reviews from here.

Common positive themes include:

  • professional and supportive staff,
  • international-patient organization,
  • translation assistance,
  • airport and hotel arrangements,
  • clear communication,
  • postoperative support.

One theme deserves particular attention.

Some recent patients describe limited direct contact with the head doctor and greater hands-on involvement from the transplant team. That is broadly consistent with what Hermest itself told Istanbeautiful: Dr. Ahmet Murat’s role centers on consultation, supervision, and postoperative control, whereas other doctors and the specialized teams perform the hands-on procedural stages.

We actually view this consistency positively.

The important issue isn’t whether every stage is performed by Dr. Murat. It is whether patients understand the treatment model before booking.

We recommend confirming the names and expected roles of the doctors and team involved in your individual procedure in writing.

What We Like About Hermest

Strong Medical Leadership and Doctor Involvement

Hermest has a clearly defined medical structure. Dr. Ahmet Murat holds overall responsibility for operations, while Dr. Nesim Tüğen has a hands-on role across planning and several procedural stages.

Transparent operating volume

The clinic disclosed approximately five patients per day across two specialized teams.

Donor-focused planning

GraftMap-assisted assessment and the willingness to divide extensive cases into two sessions suggest attention to preserving donor capacity.

Medical oversight

Dr. Ahmet Murat’s cardiology background and Dr. Nesim Tüğen’s emergency-care experience add depth to the clinic’s medical structure.

Detailed Preoperative Screening

Pre-op assessment is one of Hermest’s strengths. Every patient receives a physician evaluation, with health conditions, medications, and other potential risk factors considered before treatment.

One-year international aftercare

Hermest provides regular follow-up for 12 months after patients return home.

Transparent Published Pricing

Hermest is among the clinics that publishes its hair transplant package prices directly on its website. The clinic says the agreed package price is fixed before treatment, with no hidden or unexpected charges beyond the agreed amount.

Independent industry recognition

Hermest was named the Hair Surgery winner at the European Awards in Medicine 2025.

Strong patient-review footprint

Its Trustpilot profile combines a high score with a comparatively large number of reviews.

Where Hermest Loses Points

Dr. Ahmet Murat doesn’t personally perform every surgical stage

Dr. Murat has overall responsibility and handles consultation, supervision, and postoperative control, but Hermest doesn’t describe him as personally extracting and implanting every patient’s grafts.

Patients expecting a single named physician to perform the entire transplant should understand this before booking.

UNIQUE FUE® superiority isn’t independently demonstrated

Hermest provided a detailed explanation of UNIQUE FUE®, but no independent comparative trial establishing that it consistently produces better outcomes than high-quality conventional FUE or DHI.

Who Is Hermest Best For?

Based on our visit, research, independent checks, and Hermest’s written responses, we think the clinic is particularly suitable for international patients seeking a doctor-led hair transplant with structured medical oversight, hands-on physician participation, donor-conscious planning, and extensive postoperative support.

It may appeal particularly to patients who value a stronger medical structure than a purely technician-led treatment model.

Hermest’s approach to larger cases is another positive consideration. Rather than describing maximum graft extraction as the objective, the clinic says extensive areas may be treated across two sessions to reduce donor strain.

The clinic may be less suitable for patients whose main requirement is:

“I want one named surgeon to personally perform every stage of my transplant.”

Hermest operates through doctors and specialized teams rather than that single-surgeon model.

Patients should still confirm which doctor will participate in their procedure and which stages that doctor will personally perform before booking.

Istanbeautiful Verdict on Hermest Hair Clinic

★ 95/100 – Excellent

Following our on-site assessment, independent checks, patient-review research, and detailed written exchange with Hermest, our overall assessment is highly positive.

Hermest stands out for its medical leadership, meaningful physician involvement, donor-focused planning, structured safety approach, one-year international aftercare, and transparent disclosure of its operating model.

The clinic reports treating approximately five patients per day across two specialized teams, with every patient receiving physician examination and evaluation.

Dr. Ahmet Murat holds overall responsibility and handles consultation, supervision, and postoperative control. Dr. Nesim Tüğen has a more hands-on procedural role encompassing hairline design, graft planning, extraction, channel opening, and transplantation.

This makes Hermest more accurately described as a doctor-led, team-supported clinic than either a single-surgeon boutique practice or a technician-led operation.

We also give weight to the clinic’s independently cross-checked health-tourism authorization and its European Awards in Medicine 2025 Hair Surgery award.

Our reservations primarily concern evidence standards. UNIQUE FUE® is a proprietary Hermest methodology, and its claimed 98–99% graft-retention figure comes from the clinic’s own long-term follow-up data rather than independent comparative clinical research.

The 95/100 rating reflects the elements we can assess more confidently: medical structure, physician involvement, donor management, safety processes, aftercare, transparency, independent reputation, and first-hand observations from our visit.

For international patients comfortable with a doctor-led multi-team model, Hermest is one of the best hair transplant clinics in Istanbul we have assessed so far.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hermest Hair Clinic legitimate?

Yes. Istanbeautiful independently cross-checked the health-tourism authorization supplied during our research. International Hermest Group Turizm Seyahat Acentası (Hermest Sağlık Danışmanlığı A.Ş.) is listed with Health Tourism Authorization Certificate AK-0209, and Özel Opal Klinik appears on the Turkish Ministry of Health’s authorized healthcare-provider list.

Does Dr. Ahmet Murat personally perform hair transplants at Hermest?

Dr. Ahmet Murat holds overall responsibility for Hermest’s operation processes and handles consultation, supervision, and postoperative control. Hermest doesn’t state that he personally performs every extraction, incision, or implantation. These stages involve other doctors and the clinic’s specialized medical teams.

What does Dr. Nesim Tüğen do during a Hermest hair transplant?

Hermest describes Dr. Nesim Tüğen as having an active, hands-on role in hairline design, graft planning, extraction, channel opening, and transplantation. This level of procedural involvement contributed positively to our doctor-involvement rating.

How many patients does Hermest treat per day?

Hermest told Istanbeautiful that it treats approximately five hair-transplant patients on an average day, with two specialized teams operating simultaneously. The clinic says every patient receives a doctor’s examination and evaluation.

What is UNIQUE FUE®?

UNIQUE FUE® is Hermest’s proprietary variation of FUE. The clinic describes it as using specialized micro-instruments and precise extraction and implantation methods intended to reduce tissue trauma and improve graft handling.

How does Hermest protect the donor area?

Hermest uses tools such as GraftMap to assess hair density and quality. For patients requiring coverage across a large area, the clinic says it may divide treatment into two sessions rather than placing excessive strain on the donor area.

Does Hermest provide aftercare after I return home?

Yes. Hermest says international patients receive regular follow-up from its medical tracking team for 12 months after returning home. Its packages include postoperative medication and other aftercare components.

Is Hermest worth considering for a hair transplant in Istanbul?

We think so. Hermest scored 95/100 in our 2026 editorial assessment, with particularly strong marks for medical leadership, physician involvement, donor management, safety structure, and international aftercare. It is best suited to patients comfortable with a doctor-led, specialized-team model rather than those seeking one surgeon to personally perform every stage.

How We Classify Evidence

Throughout this review, we distinguish between first-hand Istanbeautiful observations, information reported directly by Hermest, and information independently cross-checked through official or external sources.

For example, Hermest’s approximately five daily patients, two-team structure, and 98–99% graft-retention figure are clinic-reported information. Its health-tourism authorization and European Awards in Medicine recognition were separately cross-checked.

We don’t automatically treat proprietary techniques, awards, patient-review scores, or clinic-reported success percentages as proof of superior clinical outcomes.

Medical note: Our 95/100 rating is an editorial assessment, not a medical certification. Hair-transplant suitability, donor capacity, expected density, medication, anesthesia, surgical risks, and possible complications require individual medical assessment.

Know before you plan your hair transplant

  • A hair transplant does not promise a dense hair.
  • If you have any disease that will constitute a contraindication to an operation to be performed under local anesthesia, you should first get treated with your disease and then start your hair loss treatment.
  • If you have unrealistic expectations and your donor area is insufficient, you are not a good candidate and you should not take this treatment.
  • If you have active skin disease, it should be treated before.
  • Your B12, B6, and zinc levels should be normal.
  • If you have any thyroid issues, it should be treated before.
  • Your blood sugar levels should be at the normal levels especially for those who have diabetic,
  • If you have psychological disorders such as trichotillomania, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and body dysmorphic syndrome, you should be aware and all those should be investigated.
